Almost very fitting starts the same — just a few tweaks here and there. A straightforward job! 🙂
This was a prom dress, a beautiful creation.
Alterations performed:
-
Shoulder lift
-
Hem shortening
-
Repositioning and repopulating the beadwork to make the adjustments invisible and preserve the original design
Details:
During the shoulder lift, each bead was carefully removed and securely reattached. The hem was shortened, and the beads were adjusted to maintain a consistent gap between the bottom of the hem and the start of the beadwork. This ensured all alterations were seamless and the dress retained its original beauty.

Before
During the shoulder lift, each bead was carefully removed and securely reattached to ensure all the beading stayed intact. Without this step, the delicate beadwork could have come loose.
Shoulder lift in progress
The hem was shortened, and the beads were adjusted accordingly to maintain a consistent gap between the bottom of the hem and the start of the beading.
